Birthday in the Park-"You" Project

In this picture there is a birthday party in the park and I am a candle on the cake.
I have eight layers in my picture. They are the sky in the background, and actual park structure and land. Then, the other layers are the aspen tree and the evergreen tree along with the cake, the park bench, the squirrel and me!
The hardest part of the picture for me to complete were the trees because I had to try to get as much of the white out of the trees as I could so it looked like they didn't have a "halo" or a white surrounding to them.
The thing I like best about my picture is the actual part where I am standing on the cake and I like the aspen in the background because it shows it is fall and it is starting to change colors.

New York City

The program I used to create this picture was image blender.
The features I used to create this was the pics for learning browser, the add an image as a layer tool, the magic wand, the cropping tool, the eraser, the text tool, and the effects. I also used the shadow tool and export button. Last, I used the present a slide show setting.

Lighthouse

I used image blender to create this image.
The features I used to create this image were the cropping tool, the layering tool, the eyedropper tool, and the text tool. I also used the resize tool and the format text tool.

Joshua Tree

The program I used to create this image was image blender.
The features I used to create this image were artistic effects. I used the oil paint effect. Also, I used the cool edge distort effect.

Halloween

My movie is about seven friends that go trick-or-treating together. When the girls first get to their friends house, they eat pizza, but then one girl disappears. They look all over for her but can't find her so they tell stories of where they saw her last. In the end they find her after she jumps out at them and they all get to go trick-or-treating.

I picked this topic because i thought it woud be fun! Also, it told a good story and I thought it would be a good story line. I also thought it would be funny and cool when they were all looking for her and then in an obvious place, or the only place they didn't look, that's where she was hiding.

Arctic Animals

This picture I drew is in the arctic. There are 3 animals, an arctic fox, a penguin, and a polar bear. The arctic fox is just kind of sniffing around and walking around. The polar bear is getting out of the water after catching it's dinner. Last, the penguin is just standing there looking around.

I chose to draw 3 animals so it wasn't so boring. I chose a penguin because I thought it would be easy to draw. Then I chose the other two animals because it was going to be a challenge, but I thought it would look good and give it good detail.

My "new" thoughts of twist are that it is easy to use and draw detailed things with. It is a good program to use to draw cartoon objects with.

To be able to include good detail I used the linear gradient tool that allows you to include two colors in one item to make it look 3D.

My Character

Ocean

I created this Ocean in Twist.

The feature on Twist that is my favorite is the radial colors because you can have two colors. With those two colors in radial you can have one be your main color and then have the other in the middle of the shape and it looks like a light shining on a wall. It's pretty cool.

The difference between Paint and Twist is you can do a lot more on Twist and there are a lot more features that you can use on it. Paint you just draw shapes and fill them in and on Twist they like draw the shape for you and then you can fill them in many different ways and can have a border and a lot more things. I like Twist better because of all the different stuff you can do and how much easier it is to use.

The Nickel

The nickel has Thomas Jefferson on it. It is worth five cents. Thomas Jefferson got on the nickel because he was the third president and the principal author of the Declaration of Independence. The picture on the back was a picture of Jefferson's house. His house, the Monticello, was on the back because he was on the front. A very interesting fact is the first US nickel was worth a penny. It circulated in 1857. The five cent nickel first circulated in 1866. These are some facts about the nickel and why Thomas Jefferson is on this coin.
